How fun and unique is something like this? I love the Vintage feel of these pictures. I noticed someone in the states painted these free hand but I couldn't locate someone in the GTA (CANADA). So I made them myself!!! Now I can sign the artist as Mommy!!
You can too!! Here is what you need to have.....
1. Camera 2. Printer 3. Pencil 4. Paint Paper (something a bit thicker than printing paper 4. Different size paint brushes 5. Black or Charcoal colour paint. 6. ALOT of patients 7. Oval frames purchased at Hobby Lobby for $9.99 each
First take a side picture of your child/ren against the wall. Long hair in girls, look better in a ponytail.
Than blow up the picture up to the size you want it to, than print it.
Grab your pencil and draw pencil all over the back of the printed page.
Than grab your paint paper and place it behind the printed picture. Than draw along the outside of your picture. The pencil scribble on the back, will show up as a faint line on your painting paper.
Get your thin paint brush and paint along the faint pencil outline. Than grab a thicker paint brush and fill it all in. This is where you need patients as you need to do little strokes to avoid going outside the line.
And here they are!!
I'm glad I took the time to make these! They will go up on our family tree wall.
Please share with us your Silhouette paintings on our Facebook page.
